Rapture Or No Rapture, Be ready!

Some people still have so many questions about whether the rapture happened, or will happen or will never happen... but if you're one of those people with such queries, just concentrate on taking in this one point: rapture or no rapture, you will have to meet God after your life here on earth (whether you depart from here by death or otherwise). Hence, the most important thing is to ensure that you will be ready and glad to meet Him when that time comes - even if that time was to be today!

Knowing your true worth creates a meaningful life

When the devil succeeds in making you feel worthless, then he has gotten you to a point of hopelessness, and when you get to that point, you feel you have neither value nor a reason for existence. It's this feeling that makes prostitutes do what they do - that's why it's only the Gospel of Jesus Christ that can restore them because when Jesus gets into your life, He gives you the revelation of your true worth, and hence a reason for existence. When you have something to live for, your life gets meaning, but if you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

Let Him be God; He Loves it!

We need to learn how to deal with God when praying. You don’t always have to ask God to fulfill your implementation plan; rather, let Him know what you need! For instance, if you need to pay tuition and you are expecting that money from a relative or your boss, don’t dwell on asking Him to “soften their hearts”, put your mind’s expectation aside and just ask Him to make sure that your tuition is covered – He can do that in another million ways not known to you! I usually tell people that if you need money, tell God you need money; don’t ask for a job instead! Your head may be fixed to the notion that getting a salary is the way to keep money in your pocket but as I said before, God has more than a million ways of handling your issues – ways not known to your intellect! So just tell Him what you need, and don’t act so sharp like you got it all figured out and all He needs is to sign your deal! Drop your need at His desk and let Him figure out how to meet it. Let Him be God; He loves that! #Trust.God#

Silence 'the urge to be busy'

You would rather spend your time doing nothing rather than doing what you're not meant to do. Sometimes you need to silence 'the urge to be busy'. A garden cannot be fit for the next sowing season unless it has been cleared...clear your schedule so that God can place the right programs, activities and people in the cleared slots. Quite often He does that gradually to see if you will not panic during the season of 'nothing-is-going-on'. I know that revelation might not be for everybody...if you don't get it, don't try to!

Seek ye first the Kingdom

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and the rest will follow you... that's NOT a 'good popular religious statement'; it's rather the guideline that shall always help you to keep your life in alignment with God's will. Apply it in your business, in your relationships, in your investment plan, in your quest for success, in your everything...and you will always be sure of staying on the right track. To all my friends with businesses, have this evaluation question today: Is your business seeking to please God or is it all about making money?

Needs Vs Wants

Success in life is more about getting the difference between 'the important' and 'the good'; the 'needs' and the 'wants', and hence giving priority attention to the important and the needed more than the good and the wanted. Your decision making should always have such questions: "Do I need it or do I just want it?", "Is it necessary or is it simply exciting?", "Is it for purpose or for pleasure?"

Free and free indeed!

The freedom that we attain by being in Christ puts us above the power of sin and seasons; He furnishes us with His Spirit and hence we are able to have every day as a holy day! I'm glad to know that I don't have to depend on what I eat or changes in the moon or the sun or the stars to be 'more holy' - for being holy is what I do everyday! To me, every day is "Christmas and Easter" and every month is a holy month! Apostle Paul puts it this way;  "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Col 2:16-17"

P.A.L.S

His Presence is what Preserves us;
His Anointing is the reason for our Ability;
His Love is what makes us Love the unlovable;
His Salvation gives us the reason to Sing;
I'm glad that He is my friend and I'm His friend... His name is Jesus Christ! We are pals for ever!

The Power of Vision

It's not about your past or where you are now; what matters is where you're planning to go and how you currently portray your determination to get there. That's what we call "the power of vision". Let your vision give you the 4x4 drive to take you through all the mountains and valleys with enthusiasm that can not be stopped!

Character needs to back up the gift

You can have an excellent gift but it can't help you bear fruit that remains unless your character backs up the gift. The gift is only proof of God's generosity towards you but it's your character that portrays your maturity in Him.

Determination and Commitment

If you want to go to another level, you have to be able to believe and choose to act beyond your current level. The reason as to why you have to apply "determination and commitment" is that usually life will not give you everything you need on a silver platter, but will prompt you to stretch your arm to the ceiling. It's the reason I sometimes say that "not having is often a choice rather than a condition". At one point you need to get tired of saying "I don't have" and at least progress to the next level of "I have a little" because if you don't choose that way, life will never give you "enough" at any one point! For instance, I chose to believe a bus would take us to the following mission before I knew how much it would cost, before anyone would register, before I had a single coin, before etc...Ecclesiastes 11:4...there are some things that you cannot be sure of. You must take a chance. If you wait for perfect weather, you will never plant your seeds. If you are afraid that every cloud will bring rain, you will never harvest your crops.

ISINGIRO MISSION UPDATE

14 DAYS TO THE ISINGIRO MISSION... If you have any clothes, shoes, etc that you would like to give out, you can let us take them to Isingiro and bless some people with them. They don't necessarily have to be brand new, but at the same time they don't have to be 'rugs'...and if you're in your S.6 vacation and you have a passion to serve the Lord, we welcome you on board to join the team. University students who haven't yet signed up, time for registration is running out, and if you're a young graduate who has the possibility of taking that week off, embrace the opportunity and let's go serve God as we bless the people of Isingiro.

ISINGIRO MISSION UPDATE

15 DAYS TO THE ISINGIRO MISSION... God placed it upon my heart today to pray for the Pastors' and Leaders' conference that we are going to hold on 3rd and 4th, the first 2 days on mission ground, and I believe their churches are not going to remain the same after that conference! The Apostolic anointing, through teaching and prophecy, is going to propel them to the next level, in Jesus' name! It's a year of double honour! We're trusting God for His glory to be manifested in all the other activities...the crusades, the schools, the door-to-door preaching and everything else we will purpose to do in that land. It's one week filled with so much! Keep Isingiro in your prayers, saints.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS MATTERS

John 15:14-15 …You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants,[a] for the servant[b] does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
·         Not everyone in this world believes in God…
·         Even among those who believe in God, not everyone believes in the God of the Bible…
·         For those who believe in the God of the Bible, not everyone is born of God…
·         And to those that are born of God, not everyone has the same kind of relationship with this God…
·         Some are comfortable with being children, others with being servants, and others can define their relationship with God in many ways…
·         All these relationships are in the Bible, but the kind of relationship that one treasures determines everything about their Christian life including one’s prayer life and daily walk.
For instance, children will not mind a lot as long as they get their daily bread,
Servants may not mind a lot about how they live as long as they do their work…
However, there is no greater relationship than being God’s Friend! Enoch walked with Him so closely that He was no more, the greatest level that Abraham reached for his faith in God was to become a friend of God,
Genesis 5:24… And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].
James 2:23… and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God… at one time in Genesis 18:17-33, God felt like He had to tell Abraham about His plans of destroying Sodom and Gomorrah and He engaged Him in a friend-to-friend chat where Abraham was even able to question God’s integrity, and God was not offended!
… and when Jesus realized that His disciples had matured up, they graduated from being servants to friends…
Important aspects to note:
1.      You can be a servant without being a friend. God can use you because you have what He needs at that time, even without you having a close relationship with Him! Even workers of iniquity can pretend to be servants of God… Jesus says, [Matthew 7:21-23]
21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].

2.      Being a servant does not necessarily require deep insight or revelation into God’s mysteries. You can serve even without much knowledge of Him or His business, but you can’t become His Friend if you’re not deeply involved… “for the servant[b] does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

3.      When you are simply a servant, you may not mind about your walk because all your focus is on accomplishing the tasks before you, and your satisfaction is in getting results from whatever you do in the name of the Lord… But when you mind your friendship with the Master, you don’t want to do anything that grieves Him; you hate what he hates and love what He loves – it affects your character, motives and actions in your day-to-day life.

4.      Serving God is the greatest honour, but only to those who have understood the essence of the relationship… Jesus says in John 12:26, “If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.” He refers to the kind of servant that “Follows Him” – that is relationship…

[AMP] If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [[b]to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living…
What is your relationship Status with God? Are you simply a child, a servant, a friend or something else?

WINNING PRINCIPLES FOR 2013

1.      Have resolutions or guidelines that will help you towards the achievement you desire. God will help you with direction but He does not make your plans for you.
Proverbs 16:9 – A man’s heart plans his way: but the Lord directs his steps

2.      God should take centre stage in your resolutions; He has to be the main beneficiary
Psalm 127:1 – Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: unless the Lord keeps the city, the watchmen wakes, but in vain.

3.      Be practical with your resolutions because it's not a 'wish game'; have strategies, count the cost
Luke 14:28 – For which of you, intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and counts the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?

4.      Maintain the expectation. It doesn’t have to end 24 hours after the fire works at the New Year's eve!
Psalm 71:14 – As for me, I will hope continually and will praise you more and more. (ISV)

5.     Protect what God has given you (the New Year’s Word, the Anointing, etc)

6.      Keep on the positive side of life regardless of challenges and unpleasant circumstances
2Corinthians 4:8-9 – We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed…

7.     Make changes for the new season: Kill some things and resurrect the dead good.
