Transformer's Devotional - Tuesday, 29th April 2014

OT: Zechariah 13:9
And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people'; and they will say, 'The LORD is my God.'"
_
NT: Colossians 3:7-10
In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
_
Points for meditation:
• God’s refining process may not be pleasant but it is for our good; to transform us into the ‘new people’ He desires us to be.
• Our new self keeps evolving towards Christ’s likeness by reason of the revelation knowledge of God; not by reason of time.

Transformer's Devotional - Saturday, 26th April 2014

OT: Isaiah 65:17
"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.
_
NT: Revelations 3:12
The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.
_
Points for meditation:
The same God who created the heavens and the earth has power to create another set! His power is limitless.
The New Jerusalem is for those that are willing and determined to endure to the end.

Transformer's Devotional - Friday, 25th April 2014

OT: Daniel 1:20
And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom.
_
NT: Matthew 5:43-45
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
_
Points for meditation:
The wisdom of God can make your intellectual capacity ten times better compared to others. God’s standard is always higher.
When it comes to love, the new creation in Christ does not love according to the standard of the world but that of God.

Transformer's Devotional - Thursday, 24th April 2014

OT: Exodus 3:8
And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
_
NT: Colossians 1:11-13
May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son
_
Points for meditation:
God promises to take us from slavery, scarcity and limitation to liberty, abundance and expansion.
Our Father in heaven has not only delivered us and given us a new life, but also an inheritance in the Kingdom of light!

Transformer's Devotional - Wednesday, 23rd April 2014

OT: 1Chronicles 4:9-10
There was a man named Jabez, who was the most respected member of his family. His mother had given him the name Jabez, because his birth had been very painful. But Jabez prayed to the God of Israel, "Bless me, God, and give me much land. Be with me and keep me from anything evil that might cause me pain." And God gavehim what he prayed for.
_
NT: 1John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.
_
Points for meditation:
• Even if your name and your past spell out failure, praying to the God of Israel will cultivate the transformation you desire! He can give you what you pray for.
• Effectual prayer starts by knowing God’s will and having it settled in our hearts that He pays attention to our prayers.

Transformer's Devotional - Thursday, 17th April 2014

OT: Deuteronomy 4:30-31
When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the LORD your God and obey his voice. For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.
_
NT: 1Corinthians 5:7
Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
_
Points for meditation:
  •         If you lost your way and went against the Lord’s direction, there’s an opportunity to make a comeback. He is so merciful.
  •       A little of the old contaminates the new. People who are living in the old sinful ways are like the old leaven which can pollute the rest.

Transformer's Devotional - Wednesday, 16th April 2014

OT: Isaiah 1:18
Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
_
NT: Acts 17:30-31
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this He has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead."
_
Points for meditation:
  • God can transform a total sinner into a pure saint if the sinner repents.
  •  God exhibits His true nature as LOVE by not keeping a record of the bad we did in the past as long as we choose to move on through repentance.

Transformer's Devotional - Tuesday, 15th April 2014

OT: Genesis 12:1-2
Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.
_
NT: Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
_
Points for meditation:
  • God does not relocate you to a new place unless He intends to give you a greater blessing.
  • Jesus explained the attributes of these new creatures that believe in Him. Amazing characteristics!

Transformer's Devotional - Monday, 14th April 2014

OT: 1Samuel 2:8
He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and on them he has set the world.
_
NT: Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest._
_
Points for meditation:
  • There is no life that’s too far from God’s transforming power, and when he elevates, He does it significantly!
  • ‘Rest’ is the opposite of worry, struggle, strife and so many other words. ‘Rest’ is the new mode of life we ought to experience in Christ.

Transformer's Devotional - Sunday, 13th April 2014

OT: Joel 2:28-29
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.  Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
_
NT: Acts 2:1-4
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
_
Points for meditation:
  • Genuine divine transformation can only come by the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
  • We are living in days of a fulfilled promise and we ought to manifest the signs of this fulfillment in our lives.

Transformer's Devotional - Saturday, 12th April 2014

OT: Isaiah 40:30-31
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
_
NT: 2Corinthians 4:16
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner man is being renewed day by day.
_
Points for meditation:
  • Waiting upon the Lord is not tiring but rejuvenating!
  • What happens to our physical bodies is not as important as what happens to our spiritual being.

Transformer's Devotional - Friday, 11th April 2014

OT: Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
_
NT: John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
_
Points for meditation:
  • There’s a reason for rejoicing and gladness in every new day the Lord brings.
  • The new life that Jesus came to offer us is supposed to be a fulfilled life of more than enough!

Transformer's Devotional - Thursday, 10th April 2014

OT: Ezekiel 36:26
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
_
NT: Galatians 6:15
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
_
Points for Meditation:
  • It’s only God who can replace a hardened heart with one that’s softened to His will.
  • Being a new creation in Christ is a matter of the heart.

Tuesday, 8th April 2014
_
Romans 7:6
But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.
_
There’s a new way of doing things, not according to the way we were raised but in regard to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
_

Isaiah 65:8
Thus says the LORD: "As the new wine is found in the cluster, and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,' so I will do for my servants' sake, and not destroy them all.
_
You still have a value; something new to bring forth to the table of life and that’s why God can’t permit your destruction!
