Keep the focus on God's positioning

When we seek God and He does mighty things by us (or through us), there is always assurance of promotion because of the favor that comes with the manifestation of His glory. However, like Daniel did, we need to keep our focus on where God wants us, instead of where people would like to place us. We need to be very careful not to eat anything simply because there is plenty. After Daniel interpreted the dream, the king was so impressed and gave Daniel power over the entire kingdom but Daniel knew that his assignment was to stay at the palace. Hence, he asked the king to allow him delegate his friends over the other affairs of the province (Daniel 2:48-49), so that he could stay in his right position. Opportunities and privileges can arise and “blessings” can overwhelm you but that does not mean that they are all necessarily meant for you. God can place some opportunities at your hands so that you can distribute them to others. Hence, even when opportunities come you need to know whether you are a distributor or the direct beneficiary. No matter how good your performance is, when you tread on a ground not meant for you, you place yourself in danger. However, when you stay at your post, the perfect plans of God will be fulfilled in your life without any hustle.
